Te Anau Residential Site Dewatering

Hadleys were engaged to assess a residential site in Te Anau that was subject to saturated soils and groundwater seepage. Temporary dewatering was undertaken for the construction period, and scala penetrometer testing was conducted to determine the bearing capacity of the soil, and to confirm foundation design. A subsurface drainage system was installed in the vicinity of the building platform and beneath the dwelling footprint for the purpose of subsoil drainage which allowed construction to continue and consenting of the project by the Territorial Authority.
