Geotechnical

Kingston Village Subdivision

Hadleys have completed various feasibility investigations for the Kingston Village Subdivision as part of overall infrastructure evaluations and assessments of development in this area. The site was challenged by poor ground conditions with high and perched water tables. The geotechnical assessments focussed on flooding hazard, alluvial fan hazard and liquefaction potential.

This project was particularly complex because of the liquefaction risk and alluvial fan hazard. Detailed analysis of geotechnical testing allowed the liquefaction risk to be categorised and solutions for the liquefiable soils to be developed in order to allow housing development.
